The modern Z55 code represents the color's reintroduction through the PTS programme — PTSRS documented what was described as the world's first known PTS Ivory (Elfenbein, Z55) on a 992 GT3 Touring. Porsche describes it as 'a pale, creamy white reminiscent of an elephant's tusk' with 'warm and muted' quality and 'slightly yellowish or beige undertones.' As a PTS color reviving one of the oldest entries in the Porsche paint record, Elfenbein is particularly compelling on the 992 GT3 Touring, a car whose clean, unadorned character benefits from the historical gravity of a color that predates the 911 itself.
