Indiana Red Metallic (Indianarot Metallic, code LA3V) is a warm, mid-depth metallic red at #B74646 — a red that reads as darker and more subdued than Guards Red but brighter and warmer than Rubystone Red, with a brownish-red quality that places it in the sophisticated, burgundy-adjacent part of the red spectrum. The metallic flake is fine rather than glittery, giving it a composed, almost satin quality in good light. Rennbow confirms Indiana Red is an Audi colour that made its way to the Porsche catalogue because the 924 was assembled at Audi's Ingolstadt plant — and notes that while it was rare as a Porsche colour, it was a common shade on the Audi 4000 and 5000 of the same era, with a few 911s also receiving it via PTS.
