Ivory (code 6004) is a warm, organic off-white solid at #E2E2D7 — a gentle, buttery tone that sits decisively on the warm side of white without crossing into cream or yellow, with subtle beige undertones that give it a handcrafted, old-world quality entirely appropriate to the cars it graced from the mid-1950s onward. Rennbow describes it as carrying Porsche's early DNA — warmer and gentler than pure white, with yellow and beige undertones that give it a natural, almost organic warmth, evoking aged parchment or polished bone, with a buttery glow in sunlight and a calm, off-white character in shade. Period 356 restoration research confirms that Porsche used four distinct Ivory formulations over the life of the 356, each successively lighter — 5704, 6004, 6204, and 6404 — with the 6004 code corresponding to the early 356 B era and reading as slightly more tan than the earlier formulation. Paint code records document Ivory on the 356 from 1951 through 1963 and on the 911 in 1971–1973.
