Jungle Green Metallic (Dschungelgrün Metallic, code 2A1) is a very dark, blue-tinted green metallic at #1B4D3E — a deep, almost shadowy green that in many lighting conditions reads as a dark teal or near-black before revealing its botanical origins in direct sun. It sits at the darkest, most blue-green end of the Porsche green spectrum, distinct from the warmer Forest Green and darker than most of the catalogue's other metallic greens. Automotive research confirms code 2A1 was used on an internal Porsche 993 test car — a Farbmusterfahrzeug built in 1997 — and that the dark blue-green metallic was made available for production 996s and Boxsters from the 2000 model year onward, described as reminiscent of overgrown Amazonian vegetation: very special, tasteful, subtle and discrete.
