NATO Olive (Natoolive, code L6H) is a non-metallic solid olive green inspired by the utilitarian military green that has given the color its name — a dry, earthy, brownish-yellow-green that sits between lighter Olive Green and darker Black Olive in Porsche's olive family, with a warm dusty quality that reads as deliberately subdued and functional. The hex confirms the muted, yellowish-brown-green tone that distinguishes it from cooler military greens and from the warmer, more golden character of pure olive. The color reportedly originated as a PTS Plus customer request — sources indicate it was developed for a client who ultimately chose a different color while feasibility testing was ongoing, at which point Porsche retained and catalog-listed the successful formulation. It was formally added to the expanded PTS catalog in 2023, and it has since appeared on 911 GT3 Touring, 992 Turbo S, 718 Cayman GT4, and Taycan examples. The color draws its appeal from exactly the tension between a high-performance sports car platform and military utilitarian paint — a contrast that makes it one of the more distinctive and contextually unusual PTS greens currently available.
