Racing Yellow is a clear, slightly greener-biased solid yellow that succeeded Speed Yellow as Porsche's standard catalogue yellow from the 991 generation onward — code 1S1 renders a color that Porsche's own media portal describes as the replacement for Speed Yellow beginning with the seventh 911 generation. The PCA calls it slightly greener but no less arresting than Speed Yellow, and carpaints.co confirms it replaced Speed Yellow in 2012 and has served as the standard yellow ever since. The hex (#F5D11F) confirms a yellow with a noticeably fresher, more yellow-green character compared to Speed Yellow's slightly orange warmth. Rennbow confirms it on the 911 from 2012, the Boxster and Cayman from 2012, and both 718 variants, as well as the 918 Spyder — making it one of the most broadly available yellows in Porsche's modern history. Elferspot notes it was the relaunch color for the 991.2 Carrera T in 2018, driving a temporarily elevated take rate on that model. With 19 spotter entries in the database, it is by far the most commonly documented yellow in contemporary Porsche ownership, and it continues as the standard no-cost yellow available across the 911 and 718 lineups today.
