Superior Red Metallic (W10) is a deeply dark metallic burgundy that Porsche describes as reminiscent of the rich hues of Burgundy grapes and the soil in which they grow — a color that appears almost black in darkness and takes on an exciting burgundy-purple hue in direct sunlight. Rennbow notes it is a dark metallic burgundy with one of the clunkier German translations (Superiorrotmetallic), and carpaints.co confirms that in certain conditions it can look genuinely purple. The color originated as a customer-commissioned PTS Plus order that was later incorporated into the regular PTS catalog. PTSRS documented what they called the world's first PTS Superior Red Metallic on a 992 GT3 Touring, and earlier 991.2 GT3 Touring Package examples were also widely admired. Porsche confirms it is among only three reds represented in the 2025 911 PTS catalog, alongside GTS Red and Peru Red — red being notably underrepresented in the PTS palette.
