Turkey Green

Turkey Green (R6016), Türkeigrün in German, is a bright, light non-metallic green with yellow-green undertones that places it firmly in the lighter, more spirited half of Porsche's green spectrum. The hex suggests a soft, mint-to-aqua quality — lively and fresh, with a playful, almost Mediterranean character very different from the dark forest greens or military khakis more commonly associated with the marque. A Rennlist forum post from a 1968 customer who ordered the colour at the factory describes it as a full non-metallic green "with just a hint of blue" at a $75 special-paint premium, noting it was reportedly also used on a car belonging to Ferry Porsche himself at the time. The same thread reveals ongoing name confusion between the English "Turkey Green" and the German "Türkisgrün" (Turquoise Green), a distinct colour, and points to the translation ambiguity in period documentation. Available on the 911 and 912 from 1966 through 1969, it was a special-order colour during the short-wheelbase era. With a rarity of four out of five, surviving SWB cars in original Turkey Green are genuine museum-quality finds on the early 911 market.
