Ultraviolet (M4W), Ultraviolett in German, is a vivid, medium-intensity violet with a non-metallic finish that reads as a direct, unambiguous purple in most lighting conditions. The hex of #61416B confirms a rich, saturated purple with balanced red and blue content — not a blue-leaning lavender, not a red-leaning magenta, but a committed, unmistakable violet. The company specifically selected it as the launch colour for the 2015 911 GT3 RS, making it one of the few Porsche colours to be formally chosen for a global communications vehicle. Porsche's own material describes it as a modern interpretation of the 1970s Lilac, noting that "ultra" means to go beyond, and that Ultraviolet has a strong character embodying daring, freedom, and originality. From 2018 onward it has been available as a standard PTS option across the 911, 718, Taycan, and other platforms. Despite its bold character, it carries a rarity score of one out of five — the most accessible tier — reflecting strong demand among Porsche fans who want something unmistakably distinctive.
