Venezia Blue Metallic

Venezia Blue Metallic (36P), Veneziablau Metallic in German, is a dark, blue-grey metallic with a reserved, sophisticated character that reads as a very deep steel-blue or near-navy under most conditions. The hex of #3F4550 reflects an extremely dark, grey-dominant reading — closer to a deep charcoal-blue than to a typical mid-range blue metallic, requiring good lighting to reveal the blue content clearly. Rennbow describes it as an understated metallic shade blending medium blue with subtle grey tones, elegant and reserved, with a refined metallic depth. It is closely related to but distinct from the earlier Venetian Blue Metallic (code 35U/F8), which appeared on the 911 and 928 in 1987–1990, while code 36P specifically is documented on the 928 in 1987–1988 and on the 911 again in 2010. The colour name evokes Venice — the Italian city of canals and bridges. Touch-up paint sources note it as a difficult-to-match colour, reflecting the complexity of its layered grey-blue formulation. With a rarity of five out of five it is one of the least-commonly encountered blues in the Porsche collector registry.
